We include all the main features of a destination without extra cost. Our volume buying power saves you money. And we handle all the logistics and details, leaving you free to relax and enjoy your cruise. Plus we provide all meals on board, a rich land excursion program and much more!
Accurate, detailed descriptions
Read our descriptions and you’ll understand the true value of our vacations. The agenda for each day is spelled out so that you know exactly what is included in the price. Our descriptions are unusually specific. Sightseeing with Local Guides is clearly listed. Inside visits and special features are spelled out in UPPERCASE. Optional activities during free time can be booked through your Cruise or Tour Director. Your pre-tour literature will specify cost and content of the optional highlights that may be offered. This enables you to budget accordingly before you leave home.
Young travelers
We do not accept children under eight years old because we've found that they are too young to enjoy these vacations. There are no special arrangements or activities for children on Avalon vacations.
Single Room Supplement and Guaranteed Shares
For single travelers who prefer the privacy of their own room and stateroom, single accommodation can, of course, be requested. Call for single room supplements. On European river cruises: Guaranteed shares are available in select categories. If you are traveling alone but prefer to share a stateroom, we will try to match you up with a single traveler of the same gender. Please call our Travel Consultant for details.
Extra Nights/Cruise Only
Both extra hotel nights and a cruise-only option may be available on certain vacations in this brochure. Ask our Travel Consultants for details.
Save by forming your own group
If you form your own group, you'll receive the following rebates: one person travels free in a group of 16. These group rebates do not apply to any transatlantic flights. Free land and cruise arrangements are credited at the twin rate; single room and stateroom supplements have to be paid in full.
